  • Health Communications Campaign: Students will learn and apply strategic communication approaches to health-related issues. Students will research, plan, and develop a health communication campaign strategy based on a workplace need, personal passion, or the desire for thought leadership on a given health topic. This course is aimed to develop a strategic mission and vision for topic as well as to develop goals and objectives to achieve, and design KPIs for the campaign. Students will select target audiences through the development of personas and research key messages to be directed toward these audiences. A corresponding content strategy will be designed for a mix of digital media, and an evaluation plan will be laid out to reflect on the degree of success achieved and plan for improvement in the future.

  • Identified the social, political, cultural, intellectual and economic impact of new media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, Instagram, and WordPress, among others. Assessed the way the Internet and its applications have influenced the way we see others and ourselves, including the way we interact and govern ourselves formally and informally; the ways we do business, and even the way we think. Addressed issues including privacy, cyber-bullying and civility, identity theft and security and free speech.

  • I recently completed my Senior Journalism Capstone class where we developed a magazine with multimedia components. Prepared a business plan, created a prototype magazine a media platform, including print, video, and online. The name of our publication was entitled 'Spark.'
